  • Board to Host Two Public Forums
    The Alamance-Burlington Board of Education will host 2 public forums regarding the proposed high school redistricting plan currently under discussion. On Thursday, May 5, a public forum will be held at Cummings High School beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the school auditorium. On Monday, May 9, the second forum will be held at Graham High School in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m.

    You are invited to attend to hear more about proposed changes in high school attendance zone maps, a draft plan for a future new high school and potential changes for new specialty programs at Graham and Cummings high schools in the next 3 to 5 years. Citizens will have the opportunity to address the panel of board members by signing up at the beginning of the meeting.

    May 9th - Honor Society Induction rehearsal at 6:00 p.m. in the Williams auditorium
    May 11th - Honor Society Induction at 7:00 p.m. in the Williams auditorium
    May 14th - Prom and After Prom Party
    May 20th - End of Year Video showing at 2:00 p.m. in the Williams auditorium
    May 26th - Academic Awards Program practice during first block
    May 26th - Athletic Awards Program at 7:00 p.m. in the Williams auditorium
    May 27th - Academic Awards Program at 9:00 a.m. in the Williams auditorium
    June 5th - Baccalaureate at 5:00 p.m. at Front Street United Methodist Church
    June 6th - Academy of Finance Graduation Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. in the Williams auditorium
    June 9th - Senior Breakfast and End of Year Video showing at 9:00 a.m. at Grove Park Baptist Church
    June 9th - Graduation practice at 11:15 a.m. in the Williams auditorium
    June 10th - Graduation at 2:00 p.m. in the Williams auditorium
     
    A list of extra graduation ticket allotments will be posted outside the main school office no later than Friday, May 6th
     
    If you have questions about senior items such as caps & gowns, please direct them to NC Graduate Services located at 1031 Chapel Hill Road in Burlington or by calling 336.228.7770.  If you have other questions about senior events, contact Dr. Ferrell at 336.570.6161.
     
    This message will be sent weekly between now and the Sunday before Graduation.  As events pass, they will be removed from the message.  While we do not anticipate anything changing with these dates and times, it is important that you pay attention to this message each week.
