Bulldogs-Dr. Ferrell
I am proud to be serving the learning community at Walter M. Williams High School for the fifth year.  We have enjoyed much success these past four years, including raising our graduation rate, offering more opportunities for students to learn and grow, implementation of Data Teams, meeting growth goals and many others.  Our students, staff and community are focused on excellence in all areas including academics, athletics and fine arts.  Our students participate in many activities including nationally recognized honor societies, student government activities, theatrical performances and athletics.  It is a tradition at Williams High School that has gone on for many years and one that I strive to continue as principal of this outstanding school.

I received an undergraduate degree in education from Elon College (now Elon University), a Master of School Administration degree from North Carolina State University and a Doctor of Education degree at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

I firmly believe that all students can be successful when given the right opportunities through rigorous and relevant work both inside and outside the classroom, appropriate relationships with caring adults and the confidence to take risks and go for their dreams.  I am committed to working with the staff at Williams High School to provide these opportunities for all of our students.  I also believe in accountability both academically and socially.  The staff at our school holds students to high expectations.  Part of our responsibility in preparing students for life after high school is this accountability and we must take that very seriously.

I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as principal of Walter M. Williams High School and look forward to many successes this school year.  Please contact me if I can ever be of assistance to you.
