Important Message - March 11
Due to continued issues in the county with downed power lines, fallen trees still obstructing some roadways, and power lines hanging too low to drive underneath safely making travel too hazardous, ABSS will be closed for students on traditional calendar on Tuesday, March 11. It will be a workday for staff. All school sites have power restored.
In addition, due to the extreme weather event and state of emergency situation for Alamance County during the first week of March, students in Alamance-Burlington Schools will not make-up the 4 missed days of Tuesday, March 4 (which would have been made up on Saturday, March 8), Friday, March 7, Monday, March 10, and Tuesday, March 11. Information about how staff members will make up the days will be provided at schools and office locations this week.
The previously announced make-up days from missed days in January and February are still in effect.
Report Card Delay for Traditional Middle and High Schools
Elementary report cards will be distributed to students on Wednesday, January 29th.
Report cards for students in traditional middle and high schools, originally scheduled to go home on Wednesday, January 29th , will instead be released on Wednesday, February 12th. The date change is due to a state-wide delay in information from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
