Welcome to Western Alamance High School! I am elated to be teaching Foundations of Math 1 this semester in my 31st year as a public educator. My past experience (24 years) includes teaching 8th grade Math, Science, and Reading at Western Alamance Middle School. I grew up on a family farm in Northwestern Alamance County and attended Altamahaw-Ossipee Elementary, Western Alamance Middle, and Western Alamance High. Upon graduation, I earned a BS Degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with concentrations in Math and Science. I have been happily married to my husband, Alan, for twenty-nine years and have two children, Cala and Christian.
This school year promises to be innovative and enlightening. We will learn together! As we begin the Fall Semester and return to face-to-face learning, I look forward to meeting you and your parents. Please watch this page (Announcements) and the WAHS homepage for important information throughout the semester. Students should also check SCHOOL EMAIL daily. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
