Announcements

  • As most of you know, Puerto Rico is still under a state of emergency due to the destruction from Hurricane Maria that occurred on September 20th of this year. According to the Department of Energy and Puerto Rican government status reports, less than 15% of all people in Puerto Rico have access to power on an island that can reach temperatures up to 90 degrees. Many also do not have access to clean water and are living in very poor conditions. In order to help the millions of Americans living in Puerto Rico, Ray Street is hosting a donation drive that will gather necessary supplies to help those affected by Hurricane Maria. Some supplies that are still needed include nonperishable food items, first aid kits, batteries, charcoal, can openers, and any other essential items. All items will be collected in a crate and will be shipped directly to Puerto Rico on October 22 with the help of Saint Mark’s Church and Fastenal and Samaritan’s Purse. For additional information, you can contact Saint Mark’s Church at (336) 584- 8983. Thank you.
