Hello Highland Families,
My name is Mrs. Linda Gruener and I am so thrilled to be at Highland serving as the MTSS Lead Teacher and Interventionist. I have been an educator for the past 20 years, working as an elementary classroom teacher, as well as an Education Instructor in higher education. I have a master’s degree in Education from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY, and a bachelor’s degree in Sceince/Psychology from Brock University in Canada. I completed my licensure in Academically & Intellectually Gifted Education in 2007, and earned my National Board Certification in 2009.
My husband, Mitchell, and I live in Gibsonville, NC with our third-grade twins, Dean and Elena who attend Highland, and our two dogs Elby and Zoey. Outside of my profession, I enjoy exercising, spending time with family (attending MANY of my son's ice hockey practices/games and daughter's figure skating classes), reading and free writing, and traveling.
I am absolutely thrilled to work alongside our students, teachers, and families this year. I look forward to a successful 2021/22 year at Highland!
