• Alamance-Burlington Schools is the 16th largest public school district in the state of North Carolina and serves approximately 22,400 students in grades K-12 in 36 schools with award-winning arts, academic, career and technical education, foreign language and athletic programs.  The district has:

     

    20 elementary schools (K-5)

      7 middle schools (grades 6-8)

    6 traditional high schools (grades 9-12)

    Alamance-Burlington Middle College (on the campus of Alamance Community College)

    Alamance-Burlington Career and Technical Education Center

    Ray Street Academy (alternative learning for grades K-12)

     

    In addition to 22,400 students in grades K-12, fifteen schools in the Alamance-Burlington district host 23 Pre-Kindergarten classrooms funded with federal and state resources that served over 300 children during the 2011-2012 school year.
