  • Data Collection Homework 1 Five Day Forecast Link

    Don’t forget:

    • You are collecting information. Data is just a fancy word for information.
    • You can watch the local news or go on the internet to gather the data.
    • Record the daily temperatures for Burlington, North Carolina.
    • Record the daily high and low temperatures for this week only.
    • Include the daily temperature for: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
    • To help you get started, I have already filled in the high and low temperature for Monday.

  • Khan Academy

This is a Math Tutoring Website that is totally free and includes step-by step videos on almost any math concept from elementary to college.
The website also includes practice questions.

Once you get to the website, use their search bar to type in the math topic you want and then click enter.  A list of the videos should pop-up, including any practice opportunities.  Instructional videos will have a triangle in front of them and practice opportunities will have a star in front of them.

If it is your first time ever on the website, you may have to register on behalf of your child, but it will only take a minute or two----I promise.
I will also register all of my math students within the first nine weeks, if you want to wait on me.
