-Our curriculum this year is called TOOLS of the Mind. It focuses on teaching young children self-regulation skills that will help them succeed as they move up through their school years. In our classroom, you will see LOTS of PLAY! This is the best way for young children to learn, so even if it looks like there's not much "education" going on, I can promise you there is!
-Feel free to stop by and observe our class! Just let Miss Moore know ahead of time, and please keep your visit to under half an hour. You are also more than welcome to come eat lunch with your child (please bring a healthy lunch to set a great example for our kids)!
-We have 15 students, and if you are planning a surprise for your child's birthday, please let Miss Moore know.Classroom Expectations (our lovely students helped Miss Moore come up with these rules!):
-We keep our hands and other body parts to ourselves.
-We use our listening ears, our inside voices, and our walking feet when we are inside the classroom.
-We treat our class pets with respect.
*We will talk quietly while observing them.
*We will leave their homes where they belong.
*We will take turns caring for them.
-We touch the SmartBoard and computers only after an adult gives us permission.
-We clean up our classroom the right way, right away, when asked.
