I was born and raised in a small town outside Chicago, IL where I every week I wanted to "be" something different when I grew up.  I played competitive softball and was a walk on at Purdue University where I studied Pre-Law and Organizational Leadership.   Still unsure of what I wanted to do, I spent four summers in the mountains of Lee, MA as a camp group leader for girls aged 12-16.  After graduating in 2007 with my B.A. I decided to to pursue my master in school counseling, which is how I ended up in North Carolina.   In 2010 I earned my M.S. Ed.S from UNCG and was fortunate to get a job right away at Western Guilford where I was the department chair and varsity softball coach for 3 years.  I am now starting my sixth year at Western Alamance and could not be more excited to be a part of the counseling team.  During the summers I work at Alamance Community College in the Financial Aid Office to better assist my high school students. When not at Western, I enjoy being with my newborn son Jack, our 3 dogs and countless chickens.  Please feel free to stop by my office regarding any personal, academic, or career concerns.  I would love to get to know all my students in the alphabet "O-Z" so I can help them develop in to their "best self."
