Washington University in St. Louis - Washington University offers two summer programs. The first is the Summer Scholars Program. It is for current sophomore or juniors in high school with a minimum 3.3 GPA with an ACT score of at least 25 or SAT of at least 1200. Students will have the opportunity to take introductory courses in the humanities, math, science, and social science. The second program is the High School Summer Institutes. To be eligible you will need to be a current freshman, sophomore, or junior in high school and have a minimum GPA of 3.3. This non credit program explores a specialized interest, career, or major. NC State Textiles Summer Program - The application for the Wilson College of Textiles Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP) is open for high school juniors going into their senior year. The Wilson College holds five one week sessions of STEP each summer. Participants lie on campus, learn about degree programs, the admissions process, scholarships opportunities and work on a project related to one of the majors offered --- Apparel Design, Textile Engineering, Business Management, Textile Design and Polymer Chemistry. Cornerstone Summer Institute at the University of Virgina - This camp provides rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors with the opportunity to engage in historical investigation, archaeological excavation, and community engagement in order to learn and develop thinking skills that will prepare them for success in college and beyond. ACLU Summer Advocacy Program (July 20-26) - This summer program brings together high school aged students who are 15 to 18 years old from across the United States to participate in a firsthand learning experience for the next generation of social justice advocates. During this week long program in Washington DC, students participate in electives and seminar led by lobbyists, community activists, lawyers, and ACLU experts to enhance their knowledge of civil liberties, social justice issues, and advocacy campaigns. Splash at UNC Chapel Hill - Splash is an educational enrichment program that allows high school students to take classes created and taught by Carolina Students. Energy Literacy, Engagement and Action Program (Energy LEAP) at UNC Chapel - Energy LEAP is a free, week long summer institute for rising 9th - 12th graders that take place on UNC Chapel Hill's campus. During this program students conduct hands on and minds on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities. Energy LEAP will take place from August 5-9, 2019.
