    Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP) at NC State - The college of textiles holds five one-week sessions of STEP each summer for high school juniors going into their senior year. Participants live on campus and learn about textile majors- Apparel Design; Textile Engineering; Business Management; Textile Design and Polymer Chemistry.     Tar Heel Girls State and Tar Heel Boys State: Summer Opportunities (Catawba College) - The department of North Carolina American Legion and American Legion Axillary sponsor a unique, immersive summer program for rising seniors to study, as well as practice, citizenship and leadership, through a hands-on approach. Rising seniors will spend a week creating city government, political parties, and a state government. Participants elect officials, write and debate bills, create working governments and attend various workshops.

Uplift Plus is an intensive, five week summer academic enrichment and college readiness program for Project lift participants who are North Carolina Residents.     Virginia Tech Black College Institute 2020 - Virginia Tech invites talented African American rising high school juniors and rising seniors to apply to participate in a summer, residential, academic leadership program at the the Black College Institute at the main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia. All programs are free to cost to students but you must arrange your own transportation to and from Virginia Tech.     Assistants for Summer Camps - The GSK Science in the summer program is a partnership with the UNC Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. They are recruiting high school students (16 years or older) to work as assistants during week-long science programs at libraries in Alamance County. You will work alongside a teacher to lead science camp sessions for elementary and/or middle school students.     Project Uplift and Uplift Plus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Project Uplift is an on campus summer enrichment and college access program designed to promote and increase access to higher education for high achieving rising high school seniors (current juniors), especially those underrepresented in post secondary education. Uplift Plus is an intensive, five week summer academic enrichment and college readiness program for Project Uplift participants. During the program, participants live on campus, attend SAT/ACT coaching sessions and take English 100 (equivalent to 3 credits).

    Camp Counselors for the City of Graham - The Graham Recreation of Parks Department is looking students that are 15 years on or before May 26, 2020. You must be ale to work the majority of the 13 week summer camp. Camp counselors must be able to plan, organize, and implement a daily schedule of activities for a group of youth ages 5 to 12 years old.
