The CTEC Cybrary had a great time hosting our first ever International Games Day!  We were joined by over 50 people playing board games, computer games, video games, and student created games.  Thank you, Justin McGilvray, Joseph Jaure, Thomas Daniels, Collin Scott, Eston Jeffries, Carter Collins, Nethusan Sivannesan, and Mr. Stecker's Computer Programming I & II classes for sharing the games you designed and created!
We participated in the Global Gossip Game playing "Telephone" with libraries all over the world (on all 7 continents!) and even had a branch in the Alamance-Burlington School System.  The entire report of the game as the message travelled all over the globe is quite a fascinating read!  The message started as "Play is training for the unexpected" and ended in ABSS as "Ian needs help."  Below is a map of the route the message took (not including the schools in ABSS).
Mark your calendars.  Next year's event will be on November 15, 2014!
