Classroom Parent Information
SOME TEACHERS WANT A CLASSROOM PARENT TO ORGANIZE CLASS PARTIES. SOME ONLY LIKE THE PARENT REP TO COMMUNICATE TO THE REST OF THE CLASSROOM PARENTS AND ORGANIZE FOOD TO BE SENT IN. THIS INVOLVES YOU ASKING YOUR TEACHER FOR EMAILS! THEN EMAILING YOUR CHILD'S CLASS PARENTS AND ASKING THEM TO SEND SOMETHING. HERE ARE 4 RESPONSIBILITIES YOU WILL HAVE:
- If asked by your teacher, help with any parties or classroom requests!
- Relay any important information to the classroom teacher and the parents when asked by your PTA Hospitality Chair.
- Arrange for classroom parent volunteer(s) to take the class to lunch to allow your teacher to enjoy the PTA provided lunches!
- Arrange for your classroom parents to donate food items for duty free lunches. You will receive a note from the PTA hospitality committee prior to the duty free lunch date with requested food items.
To get information to or from your classroom parents, you can send notes in and the teacher will send them home for you in the children’s book bags. You can request parent contact information from parents, or the teacher has already requested it and can share it with you. This is helpful to have to use throughout the year.
The teachers complete an All About My Teacher information sheet. Although there is no obligation to purchase gifts for your teachers, this information can come in handy for birthdays, Christmas, Teacher Appreciation and End of Year. If you would like a copy of your teacher's information, email Denise Lunsford.
If you have questions about All About my Teacher Sheet, duty free lunch, or hospitality please contact: Denise Lunsford (CHAIR) by email firstname.lastname@example.org
