High School Students and Parents:
CAP will start recruiting for the 2021 cohort soon and will be going virtual this year!
You are invited to attend an interest meeting about a new high school apprenticeship program available for high school juniors and seniors with 9 local businesses and Alamance Community College. The local businesses have developed Alamance CAP (Career Accelerator Program), a 4-year apprenticeship opportunity for students that will offer a paid summer internship, combined with on-the-job training and a 2-year associates degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology from Alamance Community College, all paid for by the local company. In addition, at the end of the 4-year apprenticeship program, participating students will be offered a guaranteed job upon completion of the program. CAP will host virtual parent student information sessions this year.
If interested, please make plans to attend one of the upcoming interest meetings to hear local industry representatives share more about the new apprenticeship opportunity for Alamance-Burlington high school students. Three virtual meetings are scheduled for this year and each will take place via Zoom at 6:30PM.
