    In 2015, Smith became a Passport Global School! This means students learn about other countries during core instruction. Each grade level teaches about the countries 
    within their assigned continent - Kindergarten: Oceania; 1st: Asia; 2nd: Latin America; 3rd: Africa; 4th: Europe; 5th: North America. Learning about the people and places of these countries will better prepare students for a global marketplace.
     
    Global education weaves together rigorous Common Core content, 21st century (real world) learning, learning together, project-based learning, and technology.
     
    Through purposeful instruction and meaningful content, I view my role as a global teacher to equip and encourage students to be world changers.
