Mrs. April Burko
Mrs. Burko is excited to join the Cummings High School family. She most recently served Graham Middle School as Assistant Principal where she enjoyed working with staff and students. Having 6 years of classroom experience, Mrs. Burko began her career as a 9th grade Social Studies teacher in Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Before serving as Graham’s Academic Coach and Assistant Principal, she taught Social Studies at T. Wingate Andrews High School in Guilford County.
Mrs. Burko is a graduate of Wilkes University where she majored in Political Science and Sociology. She earned her Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University and completed her administrative coursework at High Point University. Mrs. Burko is a firm believer that all students can learn and is excited to collaborate with the parents, students, staff and greater Cummings community to ensure the success of every child who walks through the Cummings High School doors.
