I am originally from Hickory, NC. 

I graduated from UNC-Greensboro.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was in first grade.

I have been married for four years and love to hike and go canoeing. 

I love to incorporate songs and movement into my teaching. Learning should be fun! :) 

Fun Facts About Mrs. Porter

1. During high school and college, I worked at Cici's Pizza.

2. During college, I also worked as a PAL (peer academic leader)--I helped freshman during the year--and the speaking center. 

3. I met my husband in high school.

4. When I was in 5th grade, I played the flute!

5. I can do cartwheels and round-offs!
