Welcome to Alamance-Burlington Schools! Located in the heart of North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad, we are a community rich in heritage and on the forefront of inspiring and preparing our next generation. We are driven by a community-developed vision for public education in which all students are empowered and equipped with knowledge, skills, and acumen necessary for personal and economic success – for themselves and our community.

We believe in learners and the power of learning to transform both individuals and communities. Serving over 23,000 students in 36 schools, we are the first educational choice for an overwhelming majority of families in our community.

Offering a wide-variety of learning opportunities, our goal is to ensure our graduates are prepared – for further education, work, and citizenship. We offer a variety of specialty programs that includes language immersion, arts-integrated curriculum, and student leadership models. We provide academic preparation for continued learning at the college or university level, including early college and International Baccalaureate study, as well as career-specific training and certification. We are committed to helping students find their paths.

Our community is our strength – whether classroom, school, or the greater community -- we are uniquely positioned to produce positive outcomes for all of our students.
