Do you like math and science? Do you like working with your hands? Are you interested in robotics and mechanical device systems? If so, you may be a great fit for the mechatronics engineering program at ACC!
Students interested in pursuing a career in mechatronics engineering can earn an average salary of $50,000 with just a two-year associate's degree. Alamance Community College has funding to provide the education/training to any student interested in this career field. There is a high demand in this area for the skills learned in a mechatronics engineering program. A 2015 survey of manufacturing businesses in Alamance County indicated a projection to fill 200 mechatronics positions in the next 3 to 5 years. This means we are in the middle of that high demand which also means that students who finish this degree program at ACC will have no problem finding a job. In fact, they will likely have multiple options. Check out the video below to learn more. If you have questions, please see Ms. Bader, your school counselor or career development coordinator.
