I am excited about the new school year. Every new year brings new challenges which are meet with critical thinking skills and a higher level of learning. My carpentry courses are a rigorous combination of student involvement both in the class and on the job. "Real World Learning" takes place as students apply what they have learned in the classroom to what they build with their hands. Students can create their own opportunities in life by applying this very simple formula (education+experience =opportunity). Students also earn industry recognized credentials by participating in the NCCER program that is afforded them. NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) is the only nationally recognized not for profit institution where students can earn credentials in order to advance their careers in the construction field.
