I am the teacher formerly known as Ms. Newberry.  As confusing as the new name is for all my students, parents, and peers, I promise I am more lost.  I don't even remember what name to sign sometimes!
I was born and raised in North Carolina.  For most of my life, I lived in Hendersonville, NC.  Hendersonville is in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, and I spent a lot of my time exploring along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
When I went to college, I decided I wanted to "run away" from home (with my parents' support, of course).  And boy did I run!  I ran all the way across Tennessee and into Arkansas to attend Harding University.  Go BISONS!!  While there, I loved the people I met and classes I took.  I decided early on that I wanted to major in middle school education and have never looked back.  My favorite experience was living in Greece for a semester and also traveling to Egypt, Turkey, Israel, and a good portion of Europe!
Upon graduating, I realized that I did not want to live and/or work in Arkansas and ran right back to North Carolina.  My first teaching job was at Graham Middle School as a sixth grade science teacher.  I stayed at Graham for five years and have now moved to Broadview
I love to run, hike, play Ultimate Frisbee, and generally be outside!  I am also an actor and director.
I am excited to be joining the Williams team and starting a new adventure, high school!
