Welcome to Western Alamance High School! I am elated to be teaching Math 1 and Math 2 this semester in my thirtieth year as a public educator. Past experience (24 years) includes teaching 8th grade Math, Science, and Reading at Western Alamance Middle School. I grew up on a family farm in Northwestern Alamance County and attended Altamahaw-Ossipee Elementary, Western Alamance Middle, and Western Alamance High. Upon graduation, I earned a BS Degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with concentrations in Math and Science. I have been happily married to my husband, Alan, for twenty-eight years and have two children, Cala and Christian.
This school year promises to be innovative and enlightening. We will learn together! As we begin the Spring Semester with Virtual Learning, I look forward to greeting you via Zoom, and hopefully face-to-face in our physical classroom later this semester. Please watch this page (Announcements) and the WAHS homepage for additional information about Technology and Textbook pick-up days. Students should also check SCHOOL GMAIL daily. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
Supplies you will need for class: Computer/Chromebook (Chromebooks & hot-spots are available if you need them), one-inch three-ring binder, wide-rule notebook paper, pencils, and pens
