Kindergarten - Blum, Melissa

 

My name is Melissa Blum, and I live in McLeansville.  This is my 10th year teaching kindergarten at Highland Elementary.  There is nothing like a kindergarten classroom!  Students grow so much from the first day until the last day, physically and socially, as well as academically.  It is an amazing transformation to witness.  I graduated in 2012 from Guilford College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology and in 2019 from UNCG with a Master's Degree in Special Education.  I have two boys of my own:  Jackson is in 11th grade and Carter is in 10th grade.  I hope to build a partnership between our staff and our families where we all work together for our students.  I look forward to a wonderful year full of fun and learning!
