Sarah Greene, MA CCC/SLP
Book Room, Blue WingSpeech Language Pathologist
My name is Sarah Greene and this is my third year as the Speech Language Pathologist at Highland Elementary and I am so excited to be here! I am originally from Maryland and attended college at James Madison University in Virginia and George Washington University in DC. My family has lived in North Carolina for seven years, and we never want to leave! My husband Mike works at UNC and I have two daughters, Hannah (9) and Harper (4) that keep us busy!
During this school year I will be working with the students on their goals in speech and language to help them become more successful in the classroom and life. Areas of specific need include speech articulation, language skills, verbal/non verbal social communication, augmentative communication, and fluency (stuttering). I am also responsible for school wide hearing screenings which are completed on a yearly basis for Grades K, 1,3, and 5. Students referred for academic evaluations also receive a speech, language and hearing screening.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at the above email or call Highland Elementary at 336-538-8700 and leave a message. I am usually able to return your phone call within two school days. I also am able to be reached through Dojo. This school year will start a little different than others, but we will all do our best so that your child is still successful and makes progress towards goals and better communication. I am very open to listening to your concerns and ideas, so PLEASE reach out and we can chat and problem solve together!
I look forward to meeting and working with you!
