    Hello! My name is Josh Trotter and I am very excited to be returning to Highland Elementary for the 2020-2021 school year! This will be my 4th year here at Highland and my 18th year in education.  I am thankful to be teaching PE at such an incredible school.  My wife is also a Kindergarten teacher at Smith Elementary School and we have one son.  I am a huge baseball and Atlanta Braves fan, but enjoy all sports.  I look forward to working with your child this school year.

    Hello Highland Parents, my name is Addison Teachey. This is my fifth year of teaching Physical Education at both Highland Elementary School and Newlin Elementary School. I will be serving Highland students with Mr. Trotter for a majority of this upcoming school year. This year I will begin my week at Newlin Elementary on Mondays and Tuesdays. I will be finishing up my week with Highland Elementary on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I am looking forward to a great year of physical activity and fitness for all students.
     
    I am originally from Rocky Mount, North Carolina. I started my college career at Nash Community College until I completed the College Transfer Program. I then transferred to East Carolina University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health. Go Pirates!
