Newlin's ESL Program

    The ESL Program is designed for students whose primary language is other than English, according with the information obtained from the Home Language Survey (HLS), taken when first enrolled in an American school. The purpose of the ESL Program is to help English Language learners to improve their knowledge in  the skills of: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, to succeed within their academic responsibilities. The WIDA ACCESS test has been chosen according to the Title III Regulations, to be administered to all students identified as LEP (Limited English Proficient), in order to place them in the appropriate proficiency level.
