    Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies! I am THRILLED to be a Broadview Bobcat! This is my 11th year as an educator, having previously taught in Dare County, NC, and in Northern Virginia, where I grew up. Prior to earning my M.Ed. at the University of Mary Washington (Fredericksburg, VA), and becoming a teacher, I worked for a lobbying office on Capitol Hill, and as a freelance writer and editor.  My husband and I are avid sports fans who enjoy spending time with our families and our beloved West Highland Terrier (Percy). When not doing school work, I can usually be found solving NYT crossword puzzles, reading, eating Chipotle, or bargain-hunting! I am very passionate about Social Studies and consider it my personal calling to get middle schoolers excited about learning! Let's have a FANTASTIC 2014-15 school year!
