    Welcome to ESL!

Welcome parents and students to my website!  I have been teaching in the public schools system for almost twenty years. I began teaching at Cummings High School in 2014. I graduated from Radford University in 1991 with a degree in fashion merchandising.  After a few years in the retail and wholesale industries, I returned to school to pursue a teaching license in Elementary Education (K-6) at Averett University. A few years after teaching in elementary school, I obtained my K-12 ESL (English as a Second Language) certification.  I am very excited to be returning for another year at Cummings and to have the opportunity to work with many of the ELs (English Learners) this year.  I am available to meet for conferences between 12:30 and 2:00 and after school (3:30) during the fall semester.  Please feel free to contact me by email or the school phone number if you have any questions or concerns.  I'm looking forward to a great school year!
