            My name is Brittni Kidd and I will be the Reading Remediation teacher here at Turrentine for the 2016/17 school year. This is my third year of teaching and all of them have been at Turrentine. The past two years I was a 7th grade Language Arts teacher, but I am excited for this new role and look forward to the new journey. Reading Remediation will be a year-long elective class that will focus on  decoding (the sounds that letters make), spelling, close reading strategies and increasing comprehension (understanding what has been read).
