8th Grade Science
Welcome to my page! This will be my 6th year teaching. I've taught 3 years in Middle School and two years of Biology. I am from Upstate New York, a little town called Gloversville, in which yes a lot of gloves were made. I attended Castleton State College in Vermont for my undergraduate Degree in Biology and Secondary Education, and Albany State University in New York for my Masters in Education. I have been married for a little over a year to my husband Mr. Lanza who works as a IT master! I enjoy reading, learning from my students, cycling, scrap booking and writing.
I am looking forward to my new adventure in North Carolina with all of you! If there is any place you think I should visit, please let me know, I'm excited to get to know the area!!!
Over the past four weeks we have been covering how we gain electricity from different types of energy, whether that be solar, geothermal or wind. Ask your student how we can convert those energies into electricity with a generator!
In the next couple of weeks we will be looking at the hydrosphere of the earth. This includes all of the water that is on Earth (oceans, rivers, lakes, creeks, etc.).
