Ms. Fowler!
Room A13
First Grade
Hi everyone! My name is Rachael Fowler and I am super excited to be a part of Highland Elementary again this year! This will be my sixth year of teaching at Highland, but my seventh year teaching! I taught fourth grade for one year in Ohio. I taught fourth grade for two years at Highland and this is my fourth year in first grade at Highland! I moved from Ohio to the Burlington area in 2016 and joined Highland. I went to Hiram College and graduated with my BA in education in May of 2015. I completed my Master's degree in Reading Education through Notre Dame College in December 2017. I was named Highland's Teacher of the Year for 2020! One of my favorite things is being an aunt! I have one niece, Madelyn, and one nephew, Liam! I also love being a fur-mom. I have two cats, Buddy and Rascal, that currently live with my grandma in Ohio. I also recently adopted a pup, Pumpkin. Spending time with my family is really important to me, so I make sure to involve students' families in the classroom as well!
I knew I wanted to be part of this school as soon as I walked through the doors. I look forward to continuing my work with the first grade team and all of our wonderful students. If you have any questions at all, please let me know!
We are going to have a great year!
