• Welcome to my webpage! It has now been updated for the fall semester of the 2021-2022 school year!

About me: I grew up in Chicago, Illinois before moving down to North Carolina to attend High Point University where I received a B.A. in English literature with a track in secondary education. The 2021-22 school year will be my fifth full year teaching at Southern, and I'm super excited to share my love for literature from every corner of the globe. Please feel free to reach out and contact me using the email address above with any questions regarding my class. I'm looking forward to another amazing year!

     Clubs:

    "Board Together"

    • Summary: Once a month, we will convene to play board games together. None of that lame Monopoly stuff either (sorry Monopoly lovers!) Examples of games include Catan, Codenames, Trivia games, party games, Captain Sonar, and many more. Students are welcome to bring board games of their own for the group to enjoy!

    • Sponsors: Please see Mr. Rother (C4) or Ms. Davis (C7) for more information!

    "Creative Writing"

    • Summary: The creative writing club is a safe space where students can present, reflect upon, and work on creative writing projects of their own. Whether you enjoy writing poetry, plays, short stories, full-length novels, or anything inbetween, you're welcome to join!

    • Sponsors: Please see Ms. Davis (C7) for more information. I also sponsor the club, but she's the boss :)
