    The Public Information Office plans, develops, and manages a broad array of external and internal communication programs to benefit our schools, staff, and community. We work closely with the Superintendent, each department, every school, and the Board of Education to create and coordinate effective communication strategies that support and promote the mission and work of the district.
     
    In addition, the Public Information Office:
            ·         seeks and maintains partnerships with area individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations to benefit
                     students, staff, and the community         

    ·         serves as the system’s liaison with local, state, and national media outlets

    ·         promotes and provides timely information about district events, initiatives and accomplishments
    to internal and external audiences

    ·         develops, coordinates, and implements crisis communication plans

    ·         develops and distributes a variety of district-wide publications

    ·         maintains current district news information on the website

    Providing engaging work for our students will enable Alamance-Burlington Schools
    to educate all students to meet high academic standards and
    become responsible citizens in a rapidly changing world.
