Welcome to the website of Dr. Sherry Stout-Stewart
Sixth Grade Mathematics Teacher
Graham Middle School
Home of the Falcons
Thank you for visiting my website! I taught at Graham Middle School years ago. So, I am a Falcon too. I began my teaching career in Richmond County as a 7th grade Math teacher. I also taught in Cumberland County, Brunswick County, and in Hawaii. When living in Hawaii, I taught for Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii Pacific University and Chaminade University (Aloha!!). For several years, I taught community college math and was a dean for years in the NC Community College System.
I hold a bachelor's degree from St. Andrews University, a master's degree from Fayetteville State University, and a doctorate from UNC- Chapel Hill. As a doctoral student, I was a two time, unprecedented Smallwood Fellow.
I grew up on the coast of North Carolina. I enjoy going home to visit my family and going to the beach. I also enjoy practicing yoga, attending church at St. Marks in Burlington, gardening, baking cakes from my mother's recipes, and playing the piano. (I play by ear and played at a very young age.) I have traveled many places to include: England, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Mexico, and several islands.
As a student, math was my favorite subject. I also liked writing as a pastime. A few years ago, I wrote a novel, Public Servant. A devotion I wrote published in The Upper Room. The title was "Well Done." I was delighted when my dissertation published.
Always feel free to contact me via email or by phone (336) 570-6460 (GMS phone).
