B.A. in Biology (major) and Chemistry (minor) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Previously certified in A.P. Biology and A.P. Environmental Science. Member of the N.C. Space Consortium associated with N.C.S.U., A. & T. University and NASA Langley. Member on the North Carolina Science Teachers Association.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. I also have a strong focus in the areas of Marine Biology and Invertebrate Zoology due to additional course I took at the time. Having earned a major in the life sciences and a minor in the physical sciences has afforded me the opportunity to instruct a variety of subjects over the years. These courses include Biology, Chemistry, Earth Environmental Science, A.P. Biology, A.P. Earth/Environmental Science, A.P. Physics, Honors Marine Science and Physical Science.
I entered the teaching profession at Eastern Guilford High School in 1996. I taught there for fourteen years. Then I taught at River Mill Academy, a local charter school located in Graham, N.C. I taught middle school science my first year there and then moved up to teach high school for six additional years. After leaving River Mill Academy I returned to public education and taught two years at Graham High School teaching Biology and Earth/Environmental Science as a part of their S.T.E.M. Program. Then I transferred to Walterm M. Williams High School. This is my second year in Bulldawg country.
