I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. Having earned a major in the life sciences and a minor in the physical sciences has afforded me the opportunity to instruct a variety of subjects over the years. These courses include Biology, Chemistry, Earth Environmental Science, A.P. Biology, A.P. Earth/Environmental Science, Honors Marine Science and Physical Science. I also have a strong focus in the areas of Marine Biology and Invertebrate Zoology.
I entered the teaching profession at Eastern Guilford High School in 1996. I taught there for fourteen years. Then I taught at River Mill Academy, a local charter school located in Graham, N.C. I taught middle school science my first year there and then moved up to teach at the high school the following six years. After leaving River Mill Academy I returned to public education and taught two years at Graham High School teaching Biology and Earth/Environmental Science as a part of their S.T.E.M. Program. This is my first year teaching here at Walterm M. Williams High School.
