  • Summer Camps 2020

Alamance-Burlington Schools will not operate summer day camps or summer daycare  programs this year. The district will use the summer break to focus on preparations needed in school buildings for everyone’s safe return in August.

Las escuelas Alamance-Burlington no operarán campamentos de verano o programas de guardería de verano este año. El distrito utilizará las vacaciones de verano para concentrarse en los preparativos necesarios en los edificios escolares para el regreso seguro de todos en agosto.

Summer Learning Opportunities for ABSS Students

Great News!  Students in ABSS can continue to access content for Reading and Math during the summer with our partnership with Achieve 3000 and Imagine Learning.  The Student Learning Team is printing and delivering hardcopies of the flyers linked:  K-2 and 3-12 for schools to include with report cards for all current K-11 ABSS students.  A spanish version will be printed on the back of each flyer.  Principals, thank you in advance for helping us get the word out by also posting this information on your school's website and other social media sites.

Due to the uncertain times with the current school year, we have rescheduled our Kindergarten orientation originally scheduled for May 22nd. We will notify everyone through email, phone call, and our school website when we have our new date. Please help support the Burlington Animal Shelter!

AO’s National Elementary Honor Society is holding a supply/donation drive for the Burlington Animal Shelter. We will be collecting items and loose change during the month of February. A list of needs from the shelter is included below. When you are buying supplies for your pet, please consider purchasing a little extra to send to school for a donation. (Gently used items, such as towels and fleece blankets will work too!) The shelter shared that it is almost kitten season, so there is also a need for Kitten Milk Replacement, bottles, and canned kitten food.
