Principal's Corner (9/26/2021)

Good afternoon this is Emmet Alexander, principal of the Alamance Virtual School (AVS) with your update for the week.

Some families have received letters regarding immunization and shot records.  Please provide our District Lead Nurse, Amy Widderich this information as soon as possible.  It is not my intention to suspend any student for not providing the necessary information; however, we must have a level of accountability.

Attention Seniors and Parents and/or Guardians…..   Our School Counselors will be hosting a virtual Senior Night on Tuesday, September 28th from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm via zoom.   The link will be posted to our school website by Tuesday at 6 pm.

The primary purpose of this program is to help prepare seniors with the college application process, applying for financial aid, scholarships, and planning for post-secondary success.  All seniors and their parents and/or guardians are encouraged to attend this informative evening program.  Lots of important information will be covered. Please contact Ms. Cooper, the AVS Counselor if you need more information about Senior Night.

Tuesday is the 25th day of school and this is the 25th year of Alamance Burlington School System union.  Congratulations to this school community!

Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sincerely,

Emmet Alexander
