Signing the pledge - ‘No texting while driving’

A campaign within the Alamance-Burlington School System to promote the cause of “no texting while driving” extended out to all of the high schools in the district this past week. At Eastern Alamance High School, the program was sponsored by the student council. This past Thursday, a large number of young drivers at Eastern signed a personal pledge and added their name to the list of those at the school who were committed to reduction of incidents created by texting while driving. Pictured signing the pledge are (left to right) Samuel Riggins, a sophomore; Payton Ray, a junior; and Emily Shoe, a junior. Summer Scott, a freshman mans the table during this lunch break at the school.
