Students hold Mini CROP Walk at Southern Alamance

The Family and Consumer Sciences Department at Southern Alamance High School sponsored Mini CROP Walk on Sept. 18 during 3rd block on the school’s track. Students were able to make a $1 donation in exchange for 30 minutes out of a class to walk for a cause. There was an amazing outcome involving more than half of the student body, which resulted in $890 in donations toward the Alamance County CROP walk. Through the FACS classes, they also have 40 students pledged to raise additional funds and walk in the Alamance County CROP Walk on Saturday.
