Eastern Alamance High School students in the Family Consumer Science classroom with their teacher Erin Mercs bake pumpkin pies on Monday to give to Allied Churches for feeding the hungry on Thanksgiving Day. At press time for the newspaper, about 10 a.m. on Monday, the students had 40 pies in the ovens and had only $30 left to get in donations to reach their goal for baking 140 pies. They said they would make it.
