Eastern teacher recognized for excellence
Eastern Alamance High School math teacher Matthew Snyder (right) receives the Superintendent Dr. Lillie Cox’s (left) Excellent Educator’s Award Monday evening, March 24 at the local board of education meeting. Here Snyder explains how he accommodates a learner’s preferred learning style. He also thanked Eastern for being a “supportive environment” with “collaboration” among educators. In other recognitions: The Alamance-Board of Education recognized the Mebane Business Association for its long-standing support of the local schools. The MBA recently awarded each school in Mebane $1,000, a total of $6,000. The school board also recognized the Parent Teacher Organization at Audrey Garrett Elementary School for its gift of $10,790.16 in support of the school buying computers.
