The Burlington Woman’s Club, Inc. will award the $1,000 BWC Teaching Scholarship to a rising junior who has declared his/her major in education to become a K-12 teacher.
The student must be a resident of Alamance County, attending an accredited four-year college or university in North Carolina, or an Alamance Community College student enrolled in the second year of a college transfer program.
The tenure will be one year in a North Carolina school. The winner will be sponsored as an applicant for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of North Carolina Teaching Scholarship. The application deadline is Jan. 13.
