The choral department at Williams High School is booming with excitement, as the annual Homecoming Show will be performed at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Williams High School auditorium, 1307 S. Church St., Burlington.
With much talent and enthusiasm, George Bulldog and his friends are back to “win the big game” and take down the Rockingham Cougars.
This year’s show, “George’s Blast From the Past,” was written by us. George, senior Brannon (Marshall) Marsh, is sent back in time by the Rockingham Cougars, who hope to change his identity as George the football player. Georgette, played by Sarah Myers, and the rest of the Bulldog gang must travel back to freshman year in order to rescue George in time for the big game.
The cast of the show has been working hard since the summer to make this show great. Lucas Cecil, head of the Williams High School Choral department, revealed that the audience can “expect to see some great things from students, teachers and even members of the administration.”
Along with the great storyline of the show, there are many musical numbers which are the most integral and enjoyable parts of the show. Selections ranging from, Katy Perry’s “Roar” to classics like Elton John’s “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” will have the audience wanting more.
The 2015 Homecoming Show is something you don’t want to miss. From the hilarious script, great musical numbers and amazingly talented cast, it will be a night to remember. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the door.
Sarah Myers and Delaney Rhodes are both seniors at Williams High School.
