The Alamance-Burlington Board of Education recognized several accomplished students and a teacher this week.
Williams High School football player Harrison Gee played in the Semper Fidelis All American Bowl in January, Graham High School’s Daniel Graves competed in the National Underclassmen Combine All American Game, and Eastern High School’s John Lamot played in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. Gee is going to N.C. State University, and Lamot is headed to Boston College.
The board also recognized Williams High’s Misbah Chhotani, the 2016 Yes I Can! Award winner from the N.C. Council for Exceptional Children, and Turrentine Middle School teacher Judy Jennings, winner of the 2016 Excellence in Teaching Award from the NCCEC. Chhotani is also on the Williams Ocean Science Team, which is competing in the National Science Bowl.
