“It’s just a jump to the left and a step to the right” to see Williams High School’s 2016 Musical Revue, “The Time Warp.” This year’s show promises popular numbers such as “Time Warp” from the “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “Circle of Life” from “The Lion King” and several numbers from the popular new musical, “Hamilton.” It won’t be “Quiet Uptown” once this musical revue is out. So we’ll be crossing our fingers, and holding our hearts, this isn’t just “Another Opening” of another show.
Showtimes are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Williams High School auditorium, 1307 S. Church Street, Burlington.
Choral director, Lucas Cecil, and cast have been working hard since January to make the show great.
“Nothing makes me happier than working with these kids who have such a dedication towards creating a great show. I am excited to share our hard work with everyone,” Cecil said.
“Being a part of the show for the past two years has been a great way to share my passion with my classmates and community. I wouldn’t want to spend my senior year any other way,” said senior Leia Webber.
Senior Dia Hawkins added that “being a part of the musical review has allowed me to build amazing friendships, especially during weekend practices. I’ll never forget the excitement of tech week and the overall joy of being in the show.”
The cast is thankful for the direction of Cecil and all the other choreographers, pit band members, tech crew and everyone who made this experience possible.
This will be a night of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $5 for students (through 12th grade) and $7 for adults.
