“Gators For Life” raises money for American Cancer Society
During the week of May 9-14, students and faculty at Garrett Elementary participated in a Relay for Life event that raised a total of $2,136 for the American Cancer Society. Garrett participated in memory of beloved fifth grade science teacher Tracie Gerringer, who had been at the school since its opening in 2000. The event was dubbed “Gators For Life” and celebrated the legacy of Gerringer as well as raised money toward the good cause.
