Graham High School sophomore Michelle Pineda Gonzalez will attend N.C. State University’s summer engineering camp Building the World We Live: Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering. The camp is open to high schoolers across the United States who consider themselves future engineers and have 3.5 or higher GPAs, and whose current coursework demonstrates rigor in math and science. Gonzalez aspires to attend NCSU to become a civil or biomedical engineer and work either to investigate the design of roads and bridges or to help patients needing prosthetics by designing and printing 3D models.
