Welcome to the School Nurse Page!

My name is Ashley Kiser, and I am the school nurse at South Graham Elementary.  I have been a nurse for 8 years, and have been at South Graham Elementary since January 2018.  I received my BS in Nursing from Duke University, as well as a BS in Health Promotion from Appalachian State University.  In November of 2018, I became a Nationally Certified School Nurse.  This has been a wonderful career choice, as I very much enjoy getting to know and working with the students :)

The school nurse supports student success by providing health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting. The school nurse addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students and supports their achievement in the learning process.
