Elon Elementary School students were treated to a visit from members of the Elon University Phoenix men's basketball team on Monday, Feb. 18. The athletes, dressed in their game gear, greeted students in the carpool lane between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. to help energize them for another week of school. The university has had a close partnership with ABSS over the years. This year, Elon University Athletics provided free tickets for one family of four from each ABSS elementary school to attend an Elon home game. This not only provides a fun family outing, but exposes students to the college atmosphere and gets them excited about attending college themselves.
