Alamance-Burlington middle school students will participate in the 24th annual Junior Police Academy from July 1 to July 26. Each year, local police select youth from the seven ABSS middle schools and train them for four weeks about how to be a productive member of the community and beyond. These local departments are currently seeking community donations to support the program, which is free for students. It costs roughly $450 to support one cadet, so any donation is appreciated. For more information or to learn how you can donate to the program, contact Officer Mike Paschal at 336-202-7183.
